SYNOPSIS
Niru, a lovely but spoilt Hindu wife of a British civil servant in 1880s Calcutta is trapped by a local blackmailer and her coercive, prejudiced husband. Can she discover the strength to take control of her own destiny and become a modern, independent woman?
